  1. An agreement between Birzeit University and the University of Illinois\ Chicago for academic exchange. The agreement includes the academic staff and student exchange besides joint activities and research and educational programs. This agreement will be the basis for an exchange between the Institute of Women studies and Gender Studies department at Illinois university.
  2. An agreement between Birzeit University and the BCBCB Consortium- a consortium of six international and regional universities that encourages partnerships between the universities and pursues interdisciplinary collaborative research projects across all fields of inquiry as well as multilateral initiatives. The BCBCB Consortium members include the American University of Beirut (AUB), the American University in Cairo (AUC), the American University of Sharjah (AUS), Birzeit University (BZU), Lebanese American University (LAU), and UC Davis (UCD).
