The Institute’s research output encompasses the policy oriented and politically related as well as the academic and scholarly dimensions of gender studies. Bridging between concerns of immediate relevance to local development and public policy with theoretically oriented scholarship on gender relations in Palestinian society and beyond is a main strength of the Institute’s research programs. Along with institutionalizing Palestinian Gender Studies as a scholarly field, research output has systematically contributed towards policy formulation, development planning, social action and the development of the women's movement agenda as a whole in Palestine,

The Institute undertakes its own independent research; consultancies for various ministries and agencies, as well as participates in variety of joint academic research projects with scholars in the region and beyond.
